Audition Date: Saturday, April 26, 12 PM to 4 PM (One Hour Slots)

LTM’s Rising Stars offers a dynamic and engaging experience designed to nurture young talent and build confidence through the magic of musical theatre.

Rising Stars main focus is a two-week intensive program designed for young actors, singers, and dancers. Participants will work with experienced professionals to learn acting techniques, improve their vocal skills, and master dance choreography. This program culminates in two fully-staged Disney Newsies Jr. performances on the historic Cheney Hall stage!

What your child will experience:

    • For Young Performers: Participants should be ages 8 - 14 at the start of the program

    • Program Dates: August 11th - 22nd, 2025 (Monday-Friday)

    • Program Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. daily

    • Final Performances: August 23rd, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. & 2:00 p.m.

    • Tuition: $400 for the two-week program ($375 for Manchester residents)

    • Scholarships: Need-based and merit-based scholarships available.

    • Audition Required: Participation is by audition only and requires pre-registration.

    A Glimpse into a Day at LTM Rising Stars:

    • 8:50-9:00 - Arrival

    • 9:00-9:20 - Whole Group Skill Workshop

    • 9:20-10:30 - Small Group Newsies Jr. Rehearsals

    • 10:30-10:45 - Snack/Break

    • 10:45-11:55 - Small Group Newsies Jr. Rehearsals

    • 11:55-12:00 - Closing Activities

    • 12:00 - Dismissal*

    *Please note: Students cast in leading roles or on the dance team will have extended rehearsals from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on select days (lunch break 12:00-12:30 p.m.). Details will be provided in your welcome packet after casting.

  • Rising Stars is designed to provide new performers with an introduction to musical theatre performance and experienced performers with an opportunity for further training.

    For our newest performers, auditioning for the ensemble or dance team is a great place to start! Students in these ensembles will learn to sing, dance, and act onstage in high-energy group numbers.

  • LTM's Rising Starts will offer young people a unique opportunity to participate in high-quality theatrical experiences. To address equity and access, LTM will provide need-based scholarship funding to ensure that cost is not a barrier to participation. Families can apply for need-based scholarships (full or partial tuition) when registering for auditions.

    The audition committee will also award limited merit-based scholarships (partial tuition) based on audition performance.

Our new children's theatre program will unlock incredible opportunities for young people in Manchester, especially those who might not otherwise have access to high-quality theatrical experiences.
