We’ve heard you!

LTM’S RESTROOM RENOVATION

Exciting News! Cheney Hall is getting a much-needed upgrade to its restrooms.

Renovations Begin: Construction begins in late September.

Funding: State of Connecticut, Town of Manchester, Cheney Hall Foundation, American Rescue Plan Act.

Upgrades: We are tripling the number of Women's toilets, adding a private family room, and providing more Men’s urinals for quicker breaks.

Shows Continue: All 2024 shows will proceed as planned, including Something Rotten, tribute concerts, and the Nutcracker.

Temporary Facilities: During construction (planned to be completed in late January 2025), VIP portable toilets will be available during renovations in the parking lot very near the building.

Features of temporary toilets: Electricity, plumbing, heating, disability-friendly accessibility.

No Concessions or Bar: Unfortunately, due to construction limitations, we cannot serve beverages or concessions during this time.

DON’T STALL! — We Need Your Help!

We’re excited about these improvements. They will positively impact your entire theater-going experience and make everyone’s lives easier. What’s also true is that we anticipate a $20,000-$30,000 financial shortfall during construction due to lost rental income, the potential for canceled fundraising activities, patron hesitancy, and increased expenses. Your generous donation can help bridge this gap and ensure that The Little Theatre of Manchester continues to be a vibrant cultural hub for our community.

Every dollar makes a “SPLASH”!

Your generous donation, no matter the size, contributes to our financial stability. Thank you for listening. We can't wait to unveil our new restrooms and welcome you back to a better-than-ever theater experience!

What Will This Mean For You?

  • We're tripling the number of women's toilets, including adding a private family room—so ladies, those long lines will be a thing of the past!

  • Gentlemen, we've got you covered too, with more urinals to make your bathroom breaks quicker and easier.

  • Rest assured, our 2024 shows will continue as scheduled, including the highly anticipated November musical Something Rotten, our one-night-only tribute concerts (including highlights like Judy Garland, Johnny Cash, The Drifters, and The Eagles), and December's beloved Nutcracker.

What You Need To Know Now

We're excited to be making improvements to the theater, but construction will take about four months.
Here's what you need to know in the meantime:

  • To accommodate patrons during this period, you will have access to VIP portable toilets just outside the theater, each fully equipped with electricity, plumbing, heating, and disability-friendly accessibility features to ensure a comfortable experience.

  • Unfortunately, due to construction limitations, we cannot serve beverages or concessions during this time.

To compensate for this inconvenience, patrons with CABARET SEATING AT OUR CONCERTS will receive a drink voucher redeemable at a future performance.

Additionally, we encourage patrons to bring their own beverages, including bottled water, soda, or other drinks. Please refrain from bringing ice, coolers and glass bottles.

  • We understand that some patrons will prefer to wait until the new restrooms are complete, so we are happy to offer a refund or credit for any events occurring during construction. Those taking advantage of credit will be awarded $10 extra credit for use in 2025! To request this, email boxoffice@cheneyhall.org or call (860) 647-9824.
